Displacements often cause umpteen hardships to the lower strata of the society who finds limited access to the resouces offered to them by the facilitating agencies and mechanisms including state and non-state actors.While voluntary displacements are amiable in nature, involuntary displacements are the real causes to worry. Often people loose their rights in the entire process due to their ignorance .This ignorance costs them much in long run.Again the dubious intentions of other stake holders sometimes play role against these people interest. The case study on industrial displacements undertaken in this book is from state of Orissa, India which exposed various procedural functions and its side effects on people.
