They can't be removed or played with. there is only 1 button. when pressed it makes the wrong sounds - a fog horn then 2 America folk song melodies for a long minute of bad music. The horn and music have nothing to do with this ship. The "flashing lights" is just 1 led that blinks through the plastic windows. The electronics part was so disappointing for my son i ended up removing the batteries because the awful greeting card music was very annoying. this ship is tiny. Read the numbers closely. its in centimeters even though they are selling to a USA market. Pretty sneaky. its barely 12 inches long and VERY sory looking. i felt so bad watching my son try to be a good sport and play with his present it really upset me. Do yourself a big favor and get the other aircraft carrier on the Walmart website for $40-50 thats listed as 31* long Thats a proper toy. i should have bought that one first but like you, the low price lured me in. Times are hard. Money is tight but ur better off getting nothing than this JUNK. Trust me. 1 parent to another. This WILL leave you disappointed.
