Was pretty easy to install and way less expensive than replacing. The people within my household are quite tall so it works for us, not so sure it would work well for anyone under 5' 7". I picked this as I didn't want a on the top plastic removable riser plus I also have an attached bidet that would have been useless with the on the top type.
