IT FITS THE 850 TOO!
The blankets for the 850 were sold out. The size of the 'barrel' is about the same as the 700 series so, I took a chance. It fits just fine. The embedded magnets do all the work so the rear straps not being able to connect doesn't matter. It seems to capture the heat better in the cooler (35-40 degree) evenings that my grill struggled to get to 450F before.

Fits perfectly and insulates very well!
Installation was stupid simple. It's held on by strong magnets. Heats up lots quicker in below zero (Fahrenheit) cooking and holds temp very well without using as much fuel as before. The only downside is that it doesn't keep ME as warm when I'm standing in front of it - I used to get lots of warmth and most of that is gone now.
