Programming

I am have by a hard time getting this key fob programmed to my vehicle. The part number match's my existing fob, however, the manufacturer only allows dealerships to program the fob to the vehicle. Dealerships will not program aftermarket fobs, or cut the emergency key. They say the key blankets and s not the correct material (steel instead of brass). Good job General Motors, charging $600.00 for a $50.00 item. Unfortunately I will likely need to return this item and spend much more to let some dealership program the fob.
