The electroluminescent EL backlight will illuminate the dial with an optically pleasing soft blue light, simply push button and the light will stay on for 3 seconds. Additionally, the ambient light powered Swiss super luminous hands & markers will glow continuously in all light conditions.
• Rugged U.S. Patented stainless steel case w/ matte or black ION finish
• Active Comfort™ ergonomic 4 o'clock crown does not impinge wrist movement
• Equipped with removable threaded 2 mm hex head lug bars
• Long lasting U.S. Patented B-TYPE Heavy-Duty nylon webbing band with matching black ION hardware

The entire dial will illuminate with a soft blue light when the button is pushed, while still providing a high contrast viewing in normal light conditions. The ambient light powered Swiss super luminous hands & markers will glow continuously in lower light conditions, with no need to use the battery powered EL light. The Swiss super luminous system and time keeping will continue to function if EL battery is depleted. (Note: Timing, and EL light have independent batteries.)
B-TYPE Heavy-Duty Nylon Webbing Band offers long lasting durability and comfort unmatched in the marketplace. Featuring military spec. nylon webbing, heavy-duty stitching, and solid stainless steel buckle and dual loop keepers. The Active Comfort™ one piece design is equipped with the Fold and Tuck™ excess band retention feature and wide adjustment range to ensure a perfect fit for all wrist sizes.
