Good investment
After buying and returning a couple of other less expensive products that were sub-par, I landed on this. I bought this knife as well as a two-piece paring/utility knife set. These are strong and sturdy. They should last for many years. Other brands were not nearly this heavy duty in feel. They cut well as utility knives. I needed them for general purpose use (slicing, paring). I have used steak knives in the past for this purpose, but these knives with the straight blade do much better for utility tasks. They are dishwasher safe. That is important. The other brands I bought rusted right away when I put them in the dishwasher. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
