Kichler Lighting - Ceiling Fan - Lydra - 52 Inch Ceiling Fan with Light

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is an absolutely gorgeous fan. The dark metal accents and dark wood blades (has an option for a lighter gray look on opposite side of the blades) really pop for a industrial style look and feel that match our home perfectly. The fan comes with a plate mounted remote (think light switch plate for your wall) but it holds the remote so you are less likely to misplace it. The remote is fabulous for us because our fan is mounted on the top of our vaulted ceilings and we are not able to reach it to make adjustments. The remote gives you the ability to change the speed and direction of the fan in addition to turning off, on and dimming the lights. The fan includes 3 Edison style bulbs that are 300 lumens each, which is a great brightness. In terms of installation, Kichler provides plenty of new wiring, which is fantastic to have. The diagram for installation is one for a more advanced installer, I anticipate a novice would have trouble. It took approximately 2 hours to install. We initially had a light switch that controlled the fan and a separate one that controlled the fan light. This fan does not allow for two switches to control each function. Only one switch can control the power to the fan/light and the remote will control the specific abilities of the fan and light functions. The fan functions great, fast speed of the fan is very fast and moves a lot of air. The brightness of the lights on full power is sufficient and I love the ability to dim the lights for watching television.

Very good looking fan, it replaced an older model, we are very pleased with its operation and looks.
