Awesome!

At 5'11”, the shaft feels tailor-made to fit! I purchased these boots a few years ago and had given them as a gift. Since then, I had to purchase them as my Christmas gift! An attention getter! And the shearling lining places these boots in a class by itself! The compliments are endless! You did it again, FRYE!

I'm prepared for winter!

These boots are so cozy! I'm 5'10" and the top of the boot reaches the bottom of my knee. I don't find the height of the boot shaft to be uncomfortable, nor do I think it's uncomfortable to walk if the boot tops are rolled down. I have thin calves and legs, and often buy lace up boots because I struggle to find boots that don't have large gaps in the calf. While the calves on these boots are very roomy, when unrolled the height reduces the awkwardness, and when rolled down the lining closes the gap and makes the calf appear snug. I was between a 9.5 and 10, so I opted for the larger size based on some of the reviews. I also thought that the sherpa lining might make a 9.5 too tight. I probably should have gone for a 9.5, but it's nothing a thicker pair of socks can't fix. My only complaint is that the lack of lining on the heel feels weird and gives the sensation that your socks are being pulled or are slipping off. I took a gamble purchasing these—they were non-returnable and I never tried Frye boots before—and I'm so glad I did!

Gorgeous, Warm, and Snuggly

These are beautiful boots. I sized up a half size and I'm glad I did; they're snug, which is how I prefer my boots. I have long legs, and the tops hit me mid-knee, but they can be rolled down. I don't mind that they are extra-tall; I plan to wear them with skirts and a long down coat on extra cold days. I may wear with leggings or jeggings, but they are pretty snug through the calf for heavier weight pants. I have skinny calves, so I'm pleased that they aren't huge around the calf area, but they would probably need some stretching out if my calves were any bigger. I will get many warm winters out of these boots. They are classics!
