I have been given a great opportunity to publish the story of a friend's experience whilst she was a young girl. This story is a heart wrenching insight into her involvement in the kidnapping that led to her unfortunate Sexual and Child Abuse.

We have used fictitious names in order to hide the true identities of those that were involved due to continuous heart ache.

She was quite a bit older when she finally decided that she wanted to write a book about herself. She wanted to be able to record down what she went through, little by little. One day to her recollection, as she sat there, looking out the window, wondering what she could possibly do with herself, she realized something: she could write. she could share her story so other people would hear it. Her story was her own, and she has dismantled rumour's. No longer, can other people take over her past. No longer, can they claim ownership or claim that she is stuck. No longer will she simply let people take what was hers. They will no longer have the power over her and use it as a weapon to cause deliberate pain.

I write this book in hopes that you will be able to find some sort of camaraderie in her experience if you need it. I hope that you will be able to see that ultimately you can overcome the past. If you have been abused, firstly, I am so sorry that you have had to go through this, but hope is not all lost. My friend has developed a relatively normal life. She has learned to live a normal life. She has become the person that everyone needed her to be-an advocate that can reach out to others. If you feel like you are lost, hopeless, or insecure, know that you will be able to better yourself. You will be able to heal. You can put yourself back together piece by piece. And even if he broke you like glass, you can rebuild into something that is far more glorious than what you were before.)
