They dontbshed and give off that finenlint that gets in your eyes and nose like most microfiber and some cotton sheets. I chose this polyester and tencel sheet becausebi wanted something silky soft, that doesnt shed or pile. Most sheets that claim to be sateen lfail miserably to stand up to its name after the 1st wash. These are great! In between an cotton and satin feel. Just soft long fibers that at don't shed. Ibwashed before use and they stayedbthw same after washing on cold and a or drying. No shedding bacterial was in my dryer filter like with most sheets.
