It's a very bright light if you need it to be or not. It has different brightness and color modes which is awesome. It worked very well during the power shutdown while we were in darkness these past few days. It attaches well to anything. If you are attaching it to a page or two while night reading with it at an angle in bed, of course the weight will make it fall. If it's not on a flat surface or clipped on a harder/thicker surface or at least 15 pages, my suggestion is to use a neck light not this awesome light clip. I use it sometimes just on my bedside table as it stands up quite nicely all by itself and also not to forget the lights fan out. I absolutely love it so much I've gifted a few and they love it too!!
