nuLOOM Clare Solid Shag Area Rug, 9' x 12', White

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I searched for quite a while for the ideal price, quality, and color on a thick creamy white shag rug. Experiencing cheap rugs in person with such a weak “cushion” to them, despite the great reviews, I was nervous to take the leap on this one. When I received this at my door, first check was the color, which was perfect. At first I wondered if it was too white for me, and maybe ever so slightly, but no not really. It's a great, creamy, no yellow at all, soft white. Second test was to squeeze it with my fingers. Yay! It has cushion! Very soft feeling, not too cheaply fibrous, and knew it would be just fine under the feet. Because this is under our bed we opted not to get a pad underneath. Granted, it would feel lovely with a pad, but for us not necessary for the small footprint around the bed. I'm happy with the feel and so is my doggy! Very happy with the rug and glad I took the leap of faith at this awesome price! Now about the smell. Yes, the off-gassing is really bad. We laid it out in our basement rec area for about a week or so before putting it in our bedroom. We knew it would help to take it outside but never got around to it. The smell did disappear so not a deal breaker. :-)
