All four colored - green , red, yellow and blue block are decent sized , not too big nor too small like regular blocks. These are 12 medium blocks , soft and safe for little ones to begin block interesting construction activities and develop as they grow. Kid really liked the size , bright colors, and started to play and stack the blocks around to make different towers and buildings. On first use, I would say that these are definitely soft as described, and durable material and does not seem easy to be twist broken. One thing I would recommend is buy as many as you can based on your ideas for the kids because having just twelve pieces sometimes isn't fun - doesn't allow your smarties to make as many shapes and structures as is visible. They're medium size, and still are a good alternative to the regular small ones when the kids get bored with playing with the small ones. Second, they're well manufactured for kids of these ages. Definitely makes as first ever building blocks gift for toddlers. Overall - i would recommend for budding toddlers. Recommend this to all parents for their kids 2.5 years and above.
