The old movies are nostalgic, and the bew movies bring it up a notch with modern CGI. It's one of the best sci-fi series out there. You can't go wrong.

Again Vudu not providing 4K on 4K discs!

This complete collection of Planet of the Apes movies is unique in that, due to 50 years of movies some of the movies are 4K Ultra HD discs, and some are regular Blu Ray discs. To be clear,Rise, Dawn,and War for the Planet of The Apes are all 4K Ultra HD discs. Interestingly, the remake of The Planet of the Apes (2001) is left in Blu Ray, as are the earlier movies from 1968 to the early 70's. It would be nice to get the whole set in 4K, but, I imagine Fox didn't think it would pay to remaster all the movies in 4K. The older movies look fine. The 3 newer movies look GREAT! The only quibble I have is that Vudu should be providing 4K online copies of movies that are purchased in 4K! If I purchase a movie in 4K, that's what I should get when I redeem a digital copy, a 4K copy! They keep messing up my online library with Blu Ray 1080P copies of movies I purchased in 4K. Fix your redemptions, Vudu!
