Key item features

  • Efficient Distillation: The 750W water distiller operates at a speed exceeding 0.26GAL/1L per hour, capable of eliminating most impurities from tap water. The water distiller can distill a total of 6.3 GAL/24L each day.
  • High-Quality Materials: The distilled water maker features a 304 stainless steel interior water tank. The container is made of high borosilicate glass, with all parts in contact with water being of food-grade safe materials.
  • Effective Cooling: The upgraded distilled water machine's top four-blade fan is made of aluminum, replacing the fragile plastic, and the exhaust cover has also been upgraded to 304 stainless steel, ensuring good heat dissipation and a long service life.
  • Attention to Detail: Comes with replacement activated carbon packs; it is recommended to change them regularly. Citric acid can effectively remove scale. Regular cleaning is suggested to keep the interior environment clean.
  • Wide-ranging Applications: The countertop water distiller can remove most impurities from tap water, making it highly suitable for offices, homes, laboratories, hospitals, and dental clinics. It can be used as drinking water, coffee brewing water, and more.

Good for my purpose

So far so good, I only used it once and it performed well. I brought the distiller to start distilling my water for my CPAP machine and water floss as bottle distill water is getting harder to find and expensive (up to $2 p/gal). I only use a gallon every 10 days or so. My home city water reads in a range of 146-214 ppm. As the bottle distill was 0 ppm. I also filter my water and that reads 166 ppm. After I distill a gallon of the filter water the reading was 3 ppm which is good for the CPAP. I didn’t use the charcoal package as the water was already filtered I will next time to see if get to 0 ppm. The water left a residue on the bottom which was easy to clean out. It’s recommended to use the cleaner monthly which I will.

Best one I've had yet. Quiet and well-made.

This is my 3rd (3rd brand). 1st was expensive (all stainless steel) and didn't last 5 yrs. 2nd was cheap and lasted about 3. Both didn't have temp controls, just the thermocouple shutoff (had to pull plug to turn off in-cycle). So I'm happy to have one that can stop w/ a button (as well as control the temp). FYI I bought the white abs plastic version w/ the plastic carafe (distilled water storage), so I have no idea if the other versions are more problematic. I actually kept a glass carafe/pitcher from my 1st and it mates up well to this one w/ a folded towel underneath—no spills. I made the mistake w/ my 1st in that I never took the gasket off the top condenser unit to clean and dry after each use, else it would have lasted longer; I also tried to speed-up vessel cleaning by using a soft brush which eventually created small scratches that later began to pit. My 2nd was just poorly made and the bottom just eventually warped and then cracked from all the heat/cool cycling, although I got a lot of use from it for it being a cheap piece of *BLANK*. So I'm hoping that the 3rd time is the charm and this lasts long w/ excellent care. (And w/ the temp control, I might even try to distill something other than water...) One thing I learned (besides removing, cleaning, and drying the silicon gasket) and recommend is to use white vinegar to descale/clean the vessel rather than the anhydrous citric acid. It's cheaper and there's no need to dissolve it. Just use enough to cover the bottom (no more than half a cup). If I'm not using the distiller right away after the previous cycle, I just let the vinegar sit in there overnight to "loosen" all the scaling w/o heating it up, and then rinse it all out before I fill it w/ water for use. Else I'll heat it up just a little (the temp readout is helpful so I don't let it get too hot), then add cool water to quickly lower the temp before I use a soft microfiber cloth to wipe the bottom off when I rinse the solution out (no scratches anymore). The manual (in accordance w/ my previous units) say it's no necessary to clean the scale out after each use unless you are using very hard water. I get moderate scaling and I find it's better to clean out after each use anyway because it's easier to do than letting it build up (if you're getting very little scale at all then you probably don't need to distill your tap water anyway... maybe). Another pro is that this is the quietest of the three. I keep it in the garage anyway but I can't hear it once I close the connecting door, while the other 2 I could hear from the connecting kitchen. So those needing to distill indoors will like the lack of fan noise. Only 2 very minor cons: 1) You have to press the /- each time for every degree of temp change; it would be nice to just press and hold until you reach the temp you need. 2) Condensed water seems to come out hotter than what my older units made; not a big deal though. Maybe it's just a really hot summer.

Everyone deserves truly CLEAN water

Wonderfully pure water! After running 3 containers full I was surprised at the residue left behind in the main reservoir from our nasty city tap water (even filters could not get the smell and crud out), so contaminated at 175 PPM, after using this distiller now PPM is "0"!! Easy to clean (because of our tap I clean the reservoir every 1-2 days so no scrubbing) I did order more citric acid from another website, only takes approx 1 teaspoon sprinkled, let sit for few minutes, and residue wipes right away. I spent a little more and got the glass pitcher instead of plastic, durable, does not get hot, not worried about it leaking like plastic does over time. Charcoal packets not needed. I distill water for my dad's medical equipment, for family members, even my cats come running when I fill their bowls with this water! It makes about the same amount of noise as a dehydrator or a fan. It takes up approx 12" x 18" on the counter, a lot less space than 3 or 4 gallon water jugs! I average 12 hours a day running it, has already paid for itself in 1 month. Best investment I ever made. Meals and drinks taste so much better. One happy mama here!
