These are very soft. I had a hard time keeping mine in place. I had to use several pins, which isn't a huge deal, but I would have preferred them to be cute and functional. My 11 month old's did not really stay on her head either. She is rambunctious and it did not hold well for her amount of activity. The material is very soft and they may work for others, but not for us. My daughter's hair is fine and silky. I had just washed my hair when I attempted to wear mine so it was a bit damp, but I have thick shoulder length hair. It may work better for longer hair.
