The labyrinth is lovely and a faithful duplication of the Chartres pattern. It looks nice and the pressed bamboo is a great sustainable material. My only real complaint is that the finish on the routing is fairly rough. The edges of the maze pattern aren't smoothed sufficiently, so the texture distracts from the meditative intent. Some of it is simply the material—bamboo is a very different grain than hardwood and needs extra attention/treatment to get a smooth edge. A more shallow router path would have left less harsh edges perhaps.
