A very adaptable fir tree that is tolerant of many conditions and is suited for large areas. The Santa Fe Fir retains its pyramidal shape even as it ages, requiring little to no pruning to retain that Christmas tree look. Grows at a moderate rate of 12 in. to 24 in. per year, depending on the location and planting conditions. It has light-colored bark and silver-bluish green evergreen needles providing for year round color and interest in the landscape.
