It is exactly as described. I am very particular about the feel and grip of any tool i use and will shop pretty hard to get what i like. It has great textured grip, without being sandpaper like, bland hard rubber, or irritatingly spongy. It is deceptively minimal but solid protection. I have been using it for awhile now and has not slipped on the phone, cracked, chipped, lost grip, or gone spongy. I also like the full edge around the camera lenses. The phone uses the case to rest while minimizing scratches to the lenses.
