Ugly Yellowish not White Tree

This tree is not white, it is yellowed. See the picture showing a pure white base (this is not the base that comes with the tree) compared to the branches. It is more of an off white color and reminds me of the white PVC branches that yellow over time. I have a real feel PE tree from Balsam Hill that is truly white and hasn't discolored in the 8 years that I've owned it. Of course that is a high end tree, but I wrongfully assumed that all white PE trees would not discolor. You get what you pay for and this is cheap and definitely isn't white. Also the branches aren't secure, one fell off while I was taking it out of the box.
