Emergency staple

Great to have a staple food for emergency use that doesn't have to be replaced every few years.

LONG STORE CRACKERS

You really have to take these at face value to appreciate the crackers as well as the price. These are essentially a hard, Flatbread, soda cracker style/type that keeps, travels and stores long-term exceptionally well and do not require any preparation other than opening the can. Excellent for remote cabins, campsites, RV's and so forth. One surprise? They were great for a fussy, teething toddler when nothing else would work and without exception, they (lliterally) taste like whatever you want - whatever you want to put on them that is. Pick up some dried, thin-sliced meats and the wax sealed cheeses and load them up for a quick, no prep time meal on the go. They're also perfect for eggs anystyle - any style you can manage to cook them in remote places. Fun fact? Our English Mastiff wasn't inclined to swipe, pilfer or run off with any of these until I reassured him it was actually a legitimate "Food item" for people- and yet, he loved the crunchy texture and was anxiously waiting while staring at the peanut butter jar. Me? Smuckers Cherry Preserves (not strawberry). Another, believe it or not item, is Caviar. There are many really nice tins of Caviar that should not be tainted with the taste/flavors of anything else.... and you can expect about $18-$28/tin for a generous amount for one or two people and you won't be disappointed. Last, but not least by any means, simply break them up and drop over your next mug/bowl of New England ClamWin Chowder (yes, the white one - not red- ugh) and enjoy that extra fr I'm crunch. Finishing up here is worth nothing that you need not worry about most others trying to steal/eat your stash that's been in your hurricane locker for a number of years alongside the MRE peanut butter packages ...and no animals will tear open/steal your Mad Max cracker jar. Trust me as I say that somewhere, right now, someone is wishing they had a few cans on hand for getting through the winter snowstorm - as they won't freeze either due to low moisture content. If you have any additional questions, then you have a problem and really should find a good therapist to speak with ....preferably one that won't slap you and walk out of the room. Order a case of 6 like I did and enjoy knowing that you have your safe stash set aside for any occasion, encounter or emergency and I can't think of any allergens that would bother anyone, but please verify/ check the ingredients yourself. (Many folks carry these in their boats/ emergency life boat kits and water packages)
