But I have to say, I'm genuinely impressed with its quality. It even exceeded my expectations. I started using it to improve my digestion, and let me tell you, it works wonders! Unlike Metamucil and other store brands that contain sugar, sweeteners, and artificial flavorings I don't need, I switched to this unflavored powder — and it's perfect for my needs. I mix one teaspoon in 16 ounces of water and drink it straight. When I want a little flavor, I add some “Javvy” coffee concentrate because I love cold coffee. It's a simple, effective solution that fits my lifestyle — even if the taste takes some getting used to!

This product does have a taste. It tastes like some type of nut when mixed in plain water! It was mild but noticeable. I then tried it in cold apple juice and cranberry/cherry 100% juices and that was much better. The key is to add powder and QUICKLY stir (I used my frother) and drink before it has a chance to thicken. I had no problem with after taste, gas or abdominal pain and results have been satisfactory in achieving regularity. I will continue to choose it over Metamucil due to cost factor.
