Key item features

This is an Enhanced audio CD which contains regular audio tracks and multimedia computer files.

Cassette contains three bonus tracks not found on the CD release.

This two-disc enhanced-CD set, complete with internet-filtering software, gathers together 30 of the most popular Christian pop songs of 1999. Though the musical focus of these discs is on music from alternative acts like Audio Adrenaline ("Get Down"), Delirious? ("Gravity"), and Plumb ("Stranded,") there is a nice assortment of music from other genres to leaven the mix.

The pedal steel-laced "I've Always Loved You," from Third Day, and "Nobody Loves Me Like You," from Jars of Clay lend an inviting roots-rock warmth to the proceedings. Efforts by O.C. Supertones ("Away from You") and The W's ("The Rumor Weed Song") prove that Christian themes pair well with a ska-powered instrumental background. R&B artists are also given an opportunity to voice their affection for Christ, with contributions from Out of Eden ("River"), Anointed ("Revive Us"), and Winans Phase2 "It's Alright (Send Me)." The collection's centerpiece is Steven Curtis Chapman's stirring "Speechless," a song that got its inspiration from an especially life-affirming men's group meeting that Chapman attended.
