SMALL!!! Manufacturer's fit chart is very wrong!

WAY TOO SMALL!!! Keep reading, I'll get to that part, but this is why I gave it two stars. This sweater is made of nice materials, and well sewn. The warm, fuzzy lining covers the entire hood, back, front and the arms all the way to the wrists. A lot of lined sweaters/shirts/jackets only cover the torso and then use other fabrics for the hood and the arms - the three places on your body that get cold first. HOWEVER, the fit of this item isn't even close to THEIR fitting chart. I normally wear a 3X shirt so I bought this in a 4X thinking I'd have some wiggle room while wearing it, especially in the car. Honestly, I would call this more of a smaller size Large. I didn't try it on before I washed it, so I can't send it back, but I'm going to give it to my 99-year old aunt because she is freezing all the time. She normally wears a medium, but I'm hoping that she will be able to wear this over her day-to-day clothing as an extra layer. The sweater washes and dries well, and maintains its softness without fabric softener. The fabric feels like it is a good quality, and the seams all look nice and straight. The overall quality of the sweater looks really good. I hope my aunt can wear it because she will love it!!
