Goof Off Paint Remover for Carpet - Carpet Cleaner Solution – 12 oz. Spray

The instructions say it is for wet or freshly dried paint. I neglected to read to read the instructions, but I tried it anyway on an acrylic paint splotch that has plagued the rug on our stairs for years. It took quite a few applications, several shop towels and a goodly amount of elbow grease, but I got 95% of the stain out with Goof Off Carpet Paint. I tried using a regular paper towel for the first application, but it left balls of paper on the carpet. I also should have vacuumed the area first, the extra dust seemed to hinder my initial efforts. I wish there were fold out instructions that were easier to read, the print on the bottle was tiny! It also had the side effect of doing a deep clean at that location, so now I need to shampoo the rugs. I will make sure to have this on hand whenever there are kids in the house doing craft projects and when I paint. Highly recommended.

First of all, I gifted this product to a friend of mine who is a rock painter, and sometimes sits on the floor, paints, occasionally getting paint on the rug below. I hear this product is excellent, and seems to combine the usual cleaning 'magic' of Goof Off on hard to remove spots, with a focus on rug or carpet smears and accidents.
