Amazing quality printer, but does need fine tuning.

I have owned a couple of delta printers and I really do love them for certain applications. This one though has covered one of the biggest complaints I have with the other printers within the cheaper price range (and some of the more expensive ranges too). The magnetic ball-in-socket joints are brilliant! The more traditional connectors work well on small prints, but they have a primary pivot direction and a secondary pivot that is less mobile. On small volumes, this is not an issue, but if you build towards the extents, you start getting bad artifacting. That's not an issue as much on this printer. I love that! Also, the rod arms themselves are beefier than other deltas so I have less head noise and sharper corners. I did have bad stringing right out of the gate for me, however, but this is just fine-tuning in my slicer (I do prefer Simplify3D over Monoprice's Slicer).

This printer is great

The printer works great. The real issue is that I am a beginner and I was not prepared for the free software only working with Monoprice PLA+ plastic. After quick failures with ABS, I had to do a lot of internet research about using ABS and what settings need to be tweaked. I can now print very well with ABS on this printer. This is my first 3D printer and my goal for next year is to learn 3D CAD software to make my own parts to print. I have read online comments from others that state you cannot use ABS with this printer, I say go do some research and it will become easy.

Very nice printer!

Almost through my first spool and had a minor problem: the print head thermistor was faulty; it comes with a spare, which was easy to replace. It is fast, nice and pretty silent, the fan makes the most noise. I have made a yarn spool for my better half, a heater plate and license plate light strip holder for my Porsche project, a corner mount for my security camera's, endless utility for this printer.
