They do come with two folds in them. I put my iron on cotton setting and placed a large cloth napkin on top. VERY carefully inch by inch I had to iron out the wrinkles. They are not a wicker type material they are more like a stiff cloth so not sure how well they will wipe clean. I like the beautiful bright yellow color (hard to find), and simply take them up at meal time with my cloth napkins and rings. I just like to decorate my table w them. Silly maybe...
