Takes practice to focus on your subject. The packaging is fantastic and the scope looks more expensive than it actually cost. Because it was a gift I only tried it for about 5 minutes just for fun. Wasn't much fun let me tell you due to my being an absolute rookie being a pirate. I did finally get a clear view of a tree eventually. This might make good gift for someone who has the patience to obtain some skill with it.
