I love the jeans, but

I love the jeans, but the last few times I have ordered the sizes have been varied. I used to wear a 22 (which is now big for me), so I have dropped to a 20. I ordered size 20 for the mid wash they fit perfect, so I ordered 20 for the dark wash and way too tight. Is the avenue denim jeans same as the butter denim jeans?
