8 qt potting mix is good, manageable and includes fertilizer. I prefer Miracle Gro because I can depend on it to grow my plants with little effort on my part. Water and light is all I will provide and the soil does the rest. Walmart.com almost always have the item in stock. I keep them in the original packaging so I don't have to guess its purpose. Easy to remember the 4 steps of transplanting that works for me. I love my plants, but, I love my time more. Only con is: NOT resealable, but, I have clothes pins.
