DOOR NO LONGER AJAR!

How this is not a recalled Edge problem befuddles me. Just finished paying off the car and the "Door Ajar" light comes on regardless of door being closed or not. Ignored destructive suggestions to disable the problem. Dealer quoted $100 to install a new "switch" until I dropped the car off there and the price jumped to $ 500+...took the car home with my "DOOR AJAR." Was skeptical that $ 80 could fix it and that the repair could be done in a day with my limited mechanical skill. Fast delivery of this part, and 1 hour 40 minutes of my time and the door is NO LONGER "AJAR!" Only disappointment is that I put up with "Door Ajar" for months before buying this part. First of all I took gamble and won. I own a 2008 Ford Focus and could not find the driver's side door actuator anywhere. The picture provided looked identical to the one I needed. So I bought it and was surprised at how fast it shipped. All that I can speak for is the 2008 Ford Focus, but if you need an actuator for a Focus and cannot find one, the Edge should work fine.
