The picture doesn't do it justice,it's beautiful. If you are on the fence about buying it,just buy it you won't be disappointed. The wood is heavy and sturdy. My only thing was the assembly. It said don't use power tools, it came with an Allen Wrench but that wasn't strong enough to get things tight,especially the hinges. I had to use a screw gun and it worked great. Just keep that in mind.

Versatile and handsome

Very good looking, solid wood, well proportioned bench and storage unit. Looks great in our living room and is sturdy. Lots of uses possible. I am using mine to position plant before a south-facing window and with a couple designer boxes slipped beneath to hold coffee table jumble items. Good instructions. However, I am older and somewhat frail and needed help in completing the manual screws attachments and in supporting some pieces during assembly. I am very happy with it and feel like I got a good piece of furniture at a low price.
