This is a very quality reel. I've learned over my 46 years of fishing that a quality reel is the most important thing you can have. I've tried a lot of brands out there. Shimano has never let me down. Every other brand has made stinkers. Shimano might too, but I have not found one yet. This is not an expensive reel, but it works like one.
