Having read Darlene L Turner's three previous books in her Border Patrol series I felt confident that this one would be a home run as well. It did not disappoint. Darlene knows how to weave a gripping, heart pounding, fast paced suspense story. The romantic angle included is icing on the cake. How awful to not be able to trust the very thing that is supposed to keep you safe and not be able to figure out why it keeps happening. That is what Emma James is facing. She has to start trusting the last person she wants to trust in order to keep her and her daughter safe, the brother-in-law that abandoned them after her husband's death. Mason and Emma both will find their courage and faith tested in the face of danger. I could hardly put this down. Love it when I'm taken by surprise and didn't see it coming. I think you will enjoy it as well.

Seriously, Darlene L. Turner seems to top herself with each new Love Inspired Suspense release! Safe House Exposed kept me on the edge of my seat all of the way through. The characters don't get a break from the danger and suspense, and, enjoyably so neither do readers. I loved how Darlene L. Turner kept me guessing non-stop. I had my suspicions as to who the leak and the mastermind could be but she almost sidetracked me more than once as new clues and false clues came to light. Safe House Exposed is definitely one of the best Love Inspired Suspense novels that I've read so far this year. There's a lot in this story about trust which is something I suspect people struggle with in just as many aspects as the characters in Safe House Exposed do. From rebuilding trust after it has been betrayed to trusting God even when our feelings lie to us and say that He has abandoned us. Darlene L. Turner really runs her characters through the wringer in this Love Inspired Suspense novel... If you are looking for a really good romantic suspense novel set outside of the USA with the authenticity of the author living there themselves, well, may I suggest you check out Darlene L. Turner's newest riveting Canadian tale.. You won't want to miss Safe House Exposed because it's a real dilly! (I received a copy of this book from the author. All opinions are entirely my own.)
