Overall, I was pleasantly surprised by the Uncle Milton Scientific Educational Toy – Moon in my Room! It works so well at really showing the moon's different lunar phases! The light is so beautiful on the moon, and when it's used in a dark room, it looks really authentic. The remote control is very easy to use and all of my children love seeing the different lunar phases and comparing it with the informational poster that came with it. I love that it can hang on the wall – or sit on a shelf up against the wall so you can still see it well. I love that you can download an audio tour of the moon on the website as well – very informative! It's very lightweight but as long as it's cared for properly, I think it will hold up great over time – for many years of fun! It works great as a nightlight too and with the remote, you can turn it to whatever phase you want to see. The texture of the toy is very cool as well – and I love how it's slightly curved and bumpy. I would definitely recommend this toy to anyone that loves the moon and is looking for a fun, educational toy.

Moon in my room is a nice sized moon. It's circular in shape and 3 dimensional. The back is flat and has 3 holes in the top for easy hanging. The front of the moon is textured and has a very realistic look to it. It comes with a remote control. You will need to purchase batteries. The moon lights up and you can choose one of eight phases. It has 12 different light up lunar settings. You can use an automatic or manual feature. It has auto shut off. It includes a learning poster with it. You will need 2 AAA and 4 AA batteries. This puts off a soft light. My little one likes to use it as night light when he's going to bed. He has enjoyed this. He really likes that it has a realistic look to it. This would make a great decorative piece for a kids room with astronomy theme. It has worked great thus far. The moon provided a learning opportunity to teach our little one more about astronomy which he found very interesting. He likes to go outside and see the shape of the moon and then set this one to the same shape for the evening. This is a great toy for kids and astronomy lovers.
