Jo Malone Earl Grey and Cucumber - Pack of 2 - 3.4 oz Cologne Spray

This is the perfect "uplift" for several of my other Jo Malone fragrances. I've become obsessed with fragrance combining and try something new every few days because I'm love the process of bespoke scent creation. I have a fairly disparate collection of scents: Red Roses (my fave), Wood Sage & Sea Salt, Black Cedarwood & Juniper, Blackberry & Bay, and Myrrh & Tonka. Every single one of them becomes something elevated and fresh when topped with Earl Grey. To be honest, some of these scents don't have a lot of staying power so layering up is essential. Myrrh & Tonka is a cologne intense and has the most staying power. Red Roses can hold it's own as well, but Red Roses topped with Earl Grey makes your traditional rose scent modern and fresh. I love it. My other favorite combos: Blackberry & Bay with Earl Grey (it's delievers the perfect tangy note to a warm blackberry cobbler) Black Cedarwood & Juniper with Earl Grey (think raising a Gin & Tonic to your lips and catching all those aromatics and lime!)

I am a huge fan of Jo Malone products.. I have a number of body creams,hand and body washes, colognes and the gorgeous Vitamin E products..I have not been disappointed with any of them. When I received my Earl Grey and Cucumber Cologne I thought things were about to change..I ordered online on the basis of the reviews ...my first smell of this cologne I thought ..oh dear this isn't very nice,I thought it smelt 'off' and the aroma made me feel low.. So I put it away and thought well that's ok it's just not for me...I got this out of the drawer about a week ago and thought I would give it another try and I am delighted that I did..it is just lovely ,fresh and it lasts for ages..I even caught myself the other day thinking what is that gorgeous smell?... It was me and my new favourite Earl Grey and Cucumber..well done again Jo Malone! First impressions..give it time :)
