Good replacement for Peltier Effect (Solid State) wine cooler
This Ivation wine cooler with a compressor is what I used to replace an outdated Peltier Effect wine cooler. The compressor in this cooler is quiet, uses less energy, and is able to maintain optimal cooling for wines even when the room temperature is above 80 degrees Fahrenheit. It may seem counterintuitive that a cooler with a compressor would be quieter and more energy efficient than a cooler with a Peltier-effect chip and heat sink.
