already used aftermarket ink, so setup wasn't hard. for the price, the ink isn't a bad quality. I have a HP PRO 6970. becareful on handling ink and don't drop it like i did, or you will have a big ink mess to clean up. luckily i have a tile floor so wasn't to bad.

HP compatible ink Cartridges

When I viewed this product online, it appeared to be an HP cartridge--a 4 pack of black cartridges. When I opened the package I was very surprised to see it in a plain white box and labelled on the bottom "made in China". The 4 pack contains l black and 3 colored cartridges. So far, I have only used the black cartridge and it has worked without any problems. Apparently it has an HP chip because I have attempted to use another cartridge which is non-HP and my printer will not accept it because it is a non-HP cartridge. (It doesn't even work with steps to reset the firmware.) The color cartridges have visible liquid ink inside. I have not attempted to use them so cannot comment. So far the black is working fine. However, I believe its online presentation was deceptive. It had a good price and I needed a cartridge, so to date, I am happy with this off brand product. It does have a cautionary disclaimer about the fact that it might not be good for your printer. To me, that was part of the deception not covered online.
