Bought this to replace a white plastic one. That one lasted a few years but broke one day into pieces when trying to remove bananas. the new one is made of black metal like material and can/t break. Also goes with other black metal objects on the counter.

My biggest concern is that it would be wobbly and not support a bunch of bananas. As it turns out, it is very sturdy and does not take up much counter space. It has a nice smooth finish.
