The back lacing is really flattering and allows for some customization to the upper abdomen fit. I think if you are more classically hourglass-shaped, you could not go wrong with this suit at all. But pear shapes - go ahead and get it too!! I wore the suit all day at the water park (with a rash guard over it in the wave pool) and absolutely loved it! Returning the XL one to Kohl's was very easy and stress-free too, so if you get the wrong size, no worries!

I am a short little round lady - 4'11", 188 pounds, 39" bust, 36" waist, 47" hip measurements. I ordered two sizes of this swimsuit, one in XL and one in L. I found that, with my pear shaped figure, the size L was just about perfect! It was a little tight going on in the waist/hips at first, but there's plenty of stretch, and in the water, it loosens up a bit more too, so it was very comfortable. This is a great bathing suit, I’m very happy with it.
