The assembly comes fully complete with housing and thermastat and is the way to go if you need to get just the housing. It is a little difficult to install from placement of the part in the engine. After you are done don't forget to bleed the system from air and top off fluids or else heater will not operate and car will overheat.

This price definitely beats the dealership (stealership). This includes the thermostat. Can't imagine why it is made of plastic. Mine had a big chunk blow out of the internal section. I had to lift up the throttle body to get access to the screws, but it seems like a great fitting product.
