This definitely works. I saw it mentioned on ravelry.com for knitted slippers which are made from acrylic yarn which can be slippery. Mine were. Fortunately Walmart carried it in transparent as well as colors. it dries overnight and is not noticeable to walk on unless possibly I guess if you put big thick blobs, but I used the wave pattern shown on the bottle and then smeared it even thinner. I think I needed a little more than I used but that is easy to remedy. it still works anyway. I did rinse out the cap just in case it could dry in the thinner point of the cap and block it for next time which I would recommend doing because that has happened to me with glue.
