Not everyone likes the very strong menthol-like taste of this. Some will complain it "burns". When my sinuses are irritating my throat, especially when I'm trying to sleep at night, i usually need about half a teaspoon to a teaspoon to cut through the irritation and sooth my throat. Not just for the moment but it's usually enough to keep the irritation calm for hours. I only take a full dose if I'm actually sick and symptoms are more severe.
