Hello! Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. For new rugs, curling may occur due to rolling and folding during shipping and storage. Here are some suggestions to prevent the edges of your rug from curling:Reverse rolling the rug: If the ends are curling upwards, roll the rug in the opposite direction and leave it for a day or two to help flatten the edges.Fold the corners under and let them rest for several days.Retrain the fibers: Filp your rug over so the backing is facing upwards. Place a heavy object on the folded end and keep overnight.Use indoor rug/carpet tape: Secure and flatten the ends of the rug by taping down the corners with indoor rug/carpet tape.Fold the corners under: If the corners are folded, fold them under and allow them to rest for several days.Anchor with Furniture or Books: Place a piece of furniture or books on or near the curling ends to keep them weighed down and flat. Preferable keep the weight on for 2-3 days.Place the rug on a hard, flat floor: Instead of a carpeted surface, place the rug on a hard, flat floor while it relaxes.Use a rug pad: Use a rug pad that grips the rug's backing, securely anchoring it to the floor.Use a rug gripper: Use either adhesive or non-adhesive rug grippers suitable for your flooring.Use indoor double-sided carpet tape: Apply double-sided carpet tape to the edges and corners of the rug to secure it and keep the ends flat against the floor. For added stability, tape along the perimeter and create an "X" across the center on the backside of the rug. Carpet tape is versatile and works on various types of flooring. Be sure to select a tape that is compatible with your specific flooring or carpet for the best results.Use Special rug grippers, rug adhesive pads, rug tabs, or curling clips: These can be attached to the underside of the rug corners for a long-term solution. Ice Cube Method: BE CAUTIOUS Please avoid this option if your rug is made of viscose or silk or is of 100% white in color. Place ice cubs directly on end that is curling. Place a heavy object such as a book on the corner to keep the end flat while the ice cubes melt, and fibers relax and flatten. Please place a towel or washcloth underneath the rug so the water doesn't damage your flooring. Additionally, you can refer to our video tutorial demonstrating how to unpack, unroll, straighten, and flatten your new rug, as well as how to remove creases from indoor-outdoor rugs. Please avoid using an iron, steamer, or rug cleaner on your rug, as Safavieh indoor rugs are not compatible with these methods.
