i wasnt expecting the chair to be so many pieces to assemble out of the box and was a bit intimidated by it every item was neatly wrapped. you will need scissors to cut the clear plastic off. i appreciated that it kept the chair pieces from being scratched up in transit. everything i needed to assemble the chair was in the box including a nice hex wrench and extra screws dont be alarmed when your left with extra screws. The directions were easy to follow and i did not need any help putting the chair together i appreciate the padded seat , the lumbar support. the chair is stiff to recline back and I could not tell much difference adjusting the knob underneith the chair. the armwrests are hard plastic i should have paid more attention to that. i would have preferred padded but it can be an easy fix. if the chair improves siatica n sitting all day its a good trade off. im happy with the chair day 1
