One of the things that fascinated me with the storyline of this book was, in part, being able to hear/read the thoughts of the main character, Steve Bryant. Mr. Egbert did an impressive job expressing Steve's thoughts and feelings. I guess, being a woman, this was a new experience for me because I usually read books where the main character is a woman, whom I can naturally relate to more easily.
As I continued to read the book, which I admittedly, had a hard time putting down to even cook supper for my family, I was fascinated by the continuing story and could actually visualize in my mind what was transpiring. This was a different, but wonderful reading experience for me. It seemed true to life with an almost miraculous, but realistic outcome and left me wanting to reach out of myself and do what I could to help someone else and by so doing, help myself to be a better person.
