Peter Gunn: The Complete Series (DVD)

First off, I did have to send this set back initially. It was sent without any protection in the box. The rep noted it carefully and the replacement came quickly in perfect condition. This classic Noir TV series from the late 50's has been restored beautifully by Image Entertainment and thanks to SHOUT Factory for releasing it at a decent price. Gunn comes through with decent plots squeezed in 25 mins - a real trick for any crime-drama. Watch release dates when buying this. Older releases were not restored quite as well so the picture and more importantly the sound (especially when silent) is annoying. You lose the 3 second 'clip' some prior versions had with the show logo in-between ads. If you love Gunn and of course GF Lola Albright as Edie then you will like this.
