Plant Oregano seed outside in the spring or started indoors and transfer outside when temperatures remain above 45 degrees F. Sow oregano seed outdoors in spring only cover slightly with soil as oregano seed requires some light to germinate. Thin 10–12 inches apart when 4 inches tall.
