This was an excellent "first" climber for my litter of Maine Coon kittens, but by the time they were 6 weeks old, it became too small for them, but only because there were 10 of them. If you breed cats, then this would be an excellent climber for new kittens to learn to climb and jump, but it will quickly become much too small for for any cat once they get more than a couple of pounds. The reason I rated it so high is because I do breed Maine Coons, and I will definitely continue to use it for new kittens. I love the quality of the product, and the kittens thoroughly loved playing on it.

Our kitty adores her castle. She perches on the top to look out the window, scratches away on the post, and curls up for naps in the cozy tower. Her toys are stored in the "dungeon." This was a great buy, and the price is on par with less fancy scratching posts.
